Chapter 6274: Will Be Simple
Chapter 6274: Will Be Simple
However, they still had a long way to go before being comparable to the two immortals. Anything below the immortal realm was not worth their time.
“This was not their battlefield.” Li Qiye shook his head: “Their opponents had to be the three immortals or the other redemption ground masters. Others aren’t worth their time, not even this person’s existence.”
Li Xuansu and Violet Dragon couldn’t argue against this. In history, Evil Transformation and Fiendish Ground didn’t participate in minor skirmishes or even major battles, only showing up against the masterminds.”
“What is your opinion, Young Noble?” Violet Dragon thought Li Qiye knew the answer or had a rather good guess.
“We must start with why Luminous Master changed his appearance and joined Supreme Heaven.” Li Qiye said.
“To avenge his spouse and sect.” Violet Dragon knew this answer had holes but it seemed right on the surface.
“Are you sure it was Supreme Heaven? Who else saw it in person?” Li Qiye asked.
“Hmm...” Violet Dragon had no response.
“We are relatively close to Luminous Creek but once we got there, it was destroyed.” Li Xuansu said.
“You must have been puzzled, Senior.” Violet Dragon said, realizing why Li Xuansu was assigned this task instead of anyone else.
“I reported this to Life and Death Heaven, and they questioned Supreme Heaven.” Li Xuansu said.
“No response.” Violet Dragon said.
“They did not need to answer anyone unless the lords came knocking on their door, which wasn’t possible.” Li Xuansu smiled wryly before adding: “We old lineages rarely interacted with outsiders, only neighbors.”
After a brief pause, she said: “The battle at your dao system was earth-shattering, so many emperors came to help. Dingtian came alone but still obliterated everything in a flashy manner.”
“Yet the one here was virtually silent.” Violet Dragon understood the point.
“When we and other lineages made it here, we saw rivers of blood and mountains of bones, nothing more.” Li Xuansu sighed.
“But little destruction, no shattered realms and a broken dao source.” Li Qiye said.
“Yes, we took care of the corpses properly and didn’t find any clues.” Li Xuansu said.
“Who did you have in mind at the start, Senior?” Violet Dragon became curious.
“I do not wish to say without evidence since it would be highly contested.” Li Xuansu said.
“Then we’re back to why Luminous Master thought it was Supreme Heaven.” Li Qiye said. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
“Right, and the shift to Primal Yin Immortal Ghost.” Violet Dragon said.
“Perhaps change this train of thought. Perhaps Primal Yin Immortal Ghost was there all along and Luminous Master didn’t become him.” Li Qiye said.
“Hmm?” Violet Dragon’s expression changed, becoming increasingly confused.
“What I don’t understand is what led to all of this.” Li Xuansu knew more but didn’t wish to speak without solid proof.
“Yes, Luminous Master had so much potential. I can’t imagine he was a willing participant.” Violet Dragon said. She knew her hypothesis could hurt his reputation but it seemed rather likely.
“We don’t need to discuss the method of the shift due to its complex involvements.” Li Qiye said: “Just start with the fundamentals and it will be simple.”
“The fundamentals?” Violet Dragon asked.
“Desire.” Li Qiye said.
“Desire...” She said softly: “Luminous Master was not an ambitious man. He was a loyal lover and didn’t ask for much outside of enjoying life with his spouse. They talked about being content before.”
She was not unduly defending him since this was well-known. He didn’t seem particularly excited about being selected as the next candidate. Creek King was more important to him.
“This is all destined, karma in both a carefree wanderer and an ambitious soul. The former won’t suddenly become ambitious overnight nor will the latter abandon everything for freedom. Each decision, or cause, was built upon each other. Cause becomes effect and effect becomes the next cause. Perhaps this is a type of retribution.” Li Qiye said.
“Retribution.” Li Xuansu’s eyes flickered after hearing this. Who knows what she was thinking?
