Getting $10 Trillion Out Of Nowhere

Chapter 924: Send You Home

Just then, Dominic suddenly came out with a smile and said to Lindsy.

She slowly looked up at Connor, feeling that he was only trying to show off in front of her.

If a normal person knew about Jovan’s identity, they would have been scared out of their wits.

She didn’t have the heart to expose him any further, so she didn’t say much.

But she had already started planning in her mind how she could help Connor get rid of Jovan’s clutches.

“Do you have any other business? If not, we’ll leave first!”

When Connor saw Lindsy’s silence, he softly asked her.

“Well, um, Connor, Dominic, you two just saved us. It’s also dinner time now, so how about the two of us treating you to a meal as a way of saying thank you?”

When Tamia saw Connor and the others about to leave, she quickly spoke up.

“No need…”

Connor instinctively intended to refuse.

“All right, we’re all going to have dinner anyway, but you don’t have to treat us. Connor will treat us since he’s wealthier. Let’s go together!”

Before Connor could say anything, Dominic excitedly agreed.

Connor glanced at Dominic and noticed that he seemed interested in Tamia.

Although her looks couldn’t compare to Lindsy who was beside him, she could still be considered a beauty.

Moreover, her personality matched well with Dominic, and Connor thought this girl was pretty good.

If he could really be with Tamia, he would have moved on from the shadow of Cindy

After understanding Dominic’s true intention, Connor naturally didn’t say much.

“This meal will definitely be our treat, right, Lindsy?”

Tamia asked Lindsy happily.

But Lindsy was still contemplating about Connor beating Jovan, so she hesitated for a moment and quickly nodded, saying, “That’s right, this whole thing started because of me, so I’ll treat you all!”

“Okay, let’s not discuss who pays while we haven’t finished eating yet. Let’s go and eat. I’m starving!”

Dominic shouted in a carefree manner, and then he walked ahead.

Connor and the others hurriedly followed.

Perhaps due to the larger group, Connor and his friends didn’t choose to eat Western food but went to a buffet.

During the meal, everyone reintroduced themselves.

Maybe because they were of similar age, Dominic, Tamia, and the others had a lot in common and the atmosphere during the meal was pleasant.

But Connor could tell that Lindsy was absent-minded the whole time, eating and playing with her phone, probably still worried about him fighting Jovan.

After finishing the buffet, everyone left the restaurant.

Dominic took the initiative to escort Tamia home, and Tamia gladly agreed.

Tamia was touched by Dominic’s action of helping her just now, so she had a high opinion of him.

As for Spencer and Eunice, they lived in the school dormitory, so they returned first.

In the end, only Connor and Lindsy were left.

After hesitating for a moment, Connor softly said to Lindsy, “Should I accompany you home? It’s not safe for a girl to go back alone, and we don’t know if Jovan and his gang will come looking for you!”

Upon hearing his words, her expression seemed somewhat helpless. She had been worried about his safety all along, and now he was concerned about her.

“Okay.”

Although she thought this way in her heart, she still nodded.

Connor hailed a taxi directly and got in with Lindsy.

Once inside the car, she told the taxi driver her home address, and the taxi headed towards her place.

They weren’t very familiar with each other, so neither of them initiated a conversation.

During the ride, she kept looking at the scenery outside the window, her thoughts unknown.

After about half an hour, the car stopped in front of a villa.

The villa wasn’t very large, but its location was good, indicating it was probably expensive.

He could sense that her family conditions were quite good.

“Connor, I’ve arrived home. Thank you so much for today!”

After getting off the car, she softly said to him.

“Don’t mention it. It’s nothing.”

He smiled and replied to Lindsy, then turned around intending to leave.

“Connor, can you wait for a moment?”

But at that moment, she suddenly called out to Connor.

Upon hearing her words, he couldn’t help but pause, then turned to look at her and asked, “Do you have something else?”

“Well, um, that guy Jovan is really difficult to deal with. You should be more careful. I… I will explain the situation to my parents and see if they can help you!”

After hearing her words, he couldn’t help but smile helplessly. He didn’t expect that she would still be concerned about this matter.

Actually, Connor thought that Lindsy was a very kind-hearted girl. If it were someone else, they would have already forgotten about this incident.

“Don’t worry, that Jovan won’t dare to touch me!”

Connor calmly reassured Lindsy.

Seeing that he was still so confident, her expression became even more helpless.

She couldn’t help but speak softly, “Connor, you’re underestimating the situation. I heard from my friend that Jovan has been acting recklessly all this time with the backing of his father’s connections. Last time, someone offended him and he directly broke the person’s leg. But no one could do anything about it, and in the end, Jovan only had to pay a small amount of money to settle the matter…”

“Heh, so what?”

Connor smiled faintly and calmly asked.

“I know you’re skilled, but Jovan is not someone we can provoke!”

Seeing that Connor was still nonchalant, Lindsy’s expression seemed even more anxious.
