Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 106: The Kind-Hearted Aella

The small group of Redwood Academy students cheered once the girl named Aella volunteered to "compare notes" with Shye.

Even Dean Aran had a slight smile on his face because although he brought Aella here, he didn\'t know if he would be able to convince her to fight.

Fortunately, this famous Colzen student managed to anger her to the point that she volunteered to avenge Roi Verdante.

Unbeknownst to the Redwood Academy students, this "kind-hearted" Aella had a slight smile on the corners of her mouth as she slowly walked towards the stage to avenge her schoolmate.

She really enjoyed the feeling of being admired as a strong but kind-hearted individual because it felt like whenever she did something, justice, and moral high ground were on her side.

Although it was hard to keep acting in front of people, for her, it was all worth it.

Naturally, Shye caught the subtle smile she had on the corners of her mouth so he couldn\'t help but inwardly laugh at this student named Aella.

\'Pfft, these guys keep calling me pretentious when they\'re the ones posing and pretending here and there!\' Shye thought to himself in amusement as he assumed his battle stance.

Then, as expected, this "righteous" Aella pointed her elemental staff at him and spouted some bullshit words about righteousness.

"Hmph! How dare you hurt my schoolmate? He just said a few fighting words to raise the morale of our academy and what did you do?"

"You ruthlessly injured him even though this was just a friendly sparring between our academies! I truly cannot fathom how someone could be so evil! Prepare yourself! I shall send you back to the right path!"

The Colzen Academy students frowned and most of them couldn\'t help but scoff after hearing the words of this crazy woman.

RUTHLESSLY injured her schoolmate in a FRIENDLY sparring?

How the hell did this crazy woman manage to portray their idol, Shye, as an evil person?

Didn\'t her schoolmate lose simply because he was weaker compared to Shye?

The Colzen Academy students couldn\'t help but shiver. If they didn\'t know Shye\'s personality, they might\'ve also believed the twisted words of this "kind-hearted" Aella

Meanwhile, the Redwood Academy students had indignant looks on their faces as if Shye burned their homes and killed their parents. When in reality, all he did was defeat a Redwood Academy student in a sparring match.

As for Shye, he didn\'t even have the energy to argue with an unreasonable and hypocritical person like Aella.

Hence, he simply decided to wait for the start of the match–fortunately, the referee didn\'t make him wait too long.

"Begin!"

Once the match began, Shye immediately rushed forward using his [Dash Lv.3] + [Power Slash Lv.3] combo.

*BANG*

Unfortunately, his attack struck nothing as the mage, Aella, suddenly reappeared a few meters away from her original spot.

\'As expected, she has [Blink]...\' Shye muttered to himself as he continued using his gap closer skills to probe how many repositioning skills Aella had.

He unforgivingly used [Rush Stab Lv.2] to try and hunt down Aella but sadly, she had another reposition skill, [Spatial Tunnel Lv2] wherein a spatial tunnel would randomly teleport her twenty meters from her original location.

Due to another escape skill, Shye\'s skill hit nothing but air.

"Hahahaha! Keep trying, idiot! You won\'t be able to catch Aella no matter how hard you try!"

A student from Redwood Academy said loudly which in turn, made Aella slightly smirk while feeling proud.

\'Hmm, two repositioning skills huh? This is a bit tricky…\' Shye pondered

While waiting for the cooldown of his two gap closer skills, Shye took a defensive stance.

On the other hand, the smile on Aella\'s face grew larger after seeing that Shye was out of gap-closer moves.

If it\'s like this then there was no way for this guy to beat her no matter how hard he tries!

Aella grew more confident as she waved her staff to cast her first offensive skill [Fireball Lv.2].

*FWOOSH*

A moderately huge fireball flew through the air straight towards Shye who had a stern expression on his face. However, after a closer look, Shye was…disappointed.

\'After all that talk, you mean to tell me that your offensive skills are this weak?\' Shye thought to himself as he destroyed the firewall with a simple slash as if it were nothing.

Aella\'s face turned stern as she cast two more skills, [Icicle Spear Lv.2] and [Rock Barrage Lv.2] to try and obliterate Shye.

*CLANG* *CLANG*

Unfortunately, her two skills suffered the same fate and were dismissed with a few random waves of Shye\'s greatsword.

"Hahahaha! Look at this twerp! He couldn\'t even do anything against our Aella!" Another student from Redwood Academy barked with a smug look on his face.

Shye was annoyed, this little shithead from the Redwood Academy group keeps on yapping when he obviously doesn\'t know anything about what was happening to the fight.

Meanwhile, Aella was slightly panicking.

Those three spells were on the stronger side of her arsenal and seeing Shye swat her skills like they were some random house fly gnawed at her morale.

\'It\'s ok…It\'s ok…I still have my strongest spell…Besides, he can\'t catch me...\' Aella consoled herself as she focused on defense for now.

She believes that her opponent\'s gap closer skills were already off cooldown so she had to prepare for his attacks.

Unbeknownst to her, while Shye was swatting away her offensive skills, he already purchased another gap closer skill from the system.

\'Now, let\'s see if you can still escape…\' Shye muttered as he started his onslaught of attacks again.

As expected, Aella dodged his first two gap closer skills with the same repositioning skills but then, just when Aella was starting to cast her offensive skills again, Shye used his new gap closer skill, [Lunge Pierce Lv.1] to chase her down.

"W-What?!" Aella exclaimed in a panic, fortunately, she reacted fast and cast another one of her escape skills [Knockback Lv.3] which sent Shye flying backward, unable to close the gap once again.
