Chapter 246: Ch.245 Battle in Progress

The motion of swinging the sword was driven by the shoulder joint as the origin point, with the muscles propelling the upper arm and the weapon in a circular motion. Theoretically, if one ignores the weight of the weapon, the longer the sword, the greater the angular velocity achieved at the tip of the blade.

Using the centrifugal force formula F=mv2/rF = mv^2/rF=mv2/r, Su Ming calculated the force at the impact point, then compared the pressure at the sword\'s edge with how much force Sinister\'s skin and muscles could endure.

This was the physics behind his sword strikes, an automatic calculation his super brain performed constantly. He didn\'t need to think about it—just swing, and his brain would compute how deep the blade would cut and whether the strike would be fatal.

With over a hundred tons of strength concentrated in his arms, Su Ming\'s calculation determined that this sword strike would have split Mister Sinister in half. His combat skills locked Sinister\'s every possible escape route—no matter how fast Sinister was, he couldn\'t outrun this overhead blow.

However, Mister Sinister didn\'t dodge. Instead of using telekinesis to block the blade directly, he smartly applied force to Su Ming\'s shoulder joint, as if placing an invisible brace under his armpit, cutting off the motion of his upper arm like a lever preventing further transmission of force.

The sword wouldn\'t go down. This unexpected situation took Su Ming by surprise, especially since the force that stopped the blow had come from his own strength, leveraged by his opponent.

Mister Sinister truly lived up to his reputation as a genius. Not only did he understand the principles of martial arts similar to jiu-jitsu, but like Su Ming, he instantly performed complex calculations and found a solution.

In Su Ming\'s mind, Sinister\'s threat level had just risen.

Unbeknownst to Su Ming, Mister Sinister had similar thoughts. He had initially assumed Su Ming was merely a brute-force assassin, but in that brief moment, he realized that every inch of his potential escape space had been locked down by Su Ming\'s aura. This was a world-class martial artist.

And that terrifying strength? If Sinister hadn\'t fully unleashed his telekinetic power to ensure the brace was strong and flexible enough, that whistling sword would have come crashing down on his head.

Even more troubling for Sinister was that Su Ming was entirely immune to his psychic powers. In the mental realm, Su Ming\'s mind was nothing but a blank, silver screen—no thoughts at all.

The sword hovered just above Sinister\'s head as the two floated silently in midair, with the room falling into an eerie silence.

Both sides were rapidly thinking of their next moves. This fight wouldn\'t be settled by brute strength alone.

It seemed that Mister Sinister came up with a plan first. He gave a slight smile and suddenly widened his eyes. Su Ming immediately felt an invisible force slam into his chest, sending him flying backward.

The Cloak of Levitation helped counter the repelling force, while Su Ming\'s symbiote extended tendrils to grip the ground, leaving deep gashes in the floor.

Crack, crack! Stones and rubble flew as the ground was plowed like a field. The symbiote\'s tendrils kept disintegrating and reforming, slowly reducing Su Ming\'s momentum.

Su Ming was thrown back twenty to thirty meters, but unlike Deadpool earlier, he managed to maintain some composure—and he gained valuable information.

While telekinesis was invisible and hard to guard against, it was ultimately just brute force. It couldn\'t penetrate through his bones and directly affect his internal organs.

This meant he didn\'t need to worry about Sinister pulling a move like Sadako from The Ring, using his powers to crush his enemies from the inside.

For now, Su Ming only suffered a minor injury from the telekinetic blow—just a bit of chest pain. His armor and the X-metal had protected him. Of course, had Deadpool, wearing nothing but his suit, taken that hit, at least half his ribs would have shattered.

Speaking of Deadpool, Su Ming began scanning the battlefield for him. They had agreed to attack together—he from the right, Deadpool from the left. So where was he?

Then he saw Deadpool, still wearing his chef\'s hat, casually strolling toward Mister Sinister, far from being in position.

"..."

Su Ming rubbed his forehead, feeling mentally exhausted.

Meanwhile, Mister Sinister ignored Deadpool entirely and charged toward the doctor and the sorcerer.

Though they had hidden well, playing hide-and-seek with a telepath was futile. Their thoughts and consciousness shone like beacons in the dark, with their brain outlines clearly visible to Sinister.

While Monarch might be able to fend for himself, Halloway had no means to defend against a telepath. This left Su Ming with no choice but to intervene. However, saving the doctor could very well play into Sinister\'s hands, as it was unclear what exactly he was planning.

Nevertheless, Halloway was the best doctor Su Ming could find. Though primarily a medical doctor, he was also knowledgeable in biology and chemistry, making him an essential member of the team.

When encountering unknown chemicals, Su Ming needed Halloway to analyze them. For confusing research reports, he needed Halloway to interpret them. And for battlefield surgeries or autopsies, Halloway was indispensable.

Things had already diverged far from how they unfolded in the comics, making Halloway\'s expertise even more crucial in gathering intel.

There was no internet to look up information in this era. Everything depended on the knowledge people already possessed.

If Halloway died, Su Ming couldn\'t just drag Dr. Erskine onto the battlefield. Besides, Erskine wouldn\'t even cooperate, having been kidnapped to work on agriculture...

And that old man couldn\'t even dodge a bullet, making him more of a liability.

All this thinking took less than a second. Su Ming immediately had the Cloak of Levitation pull him forward again, positioning himself in front of the doctor to block the attack.

This time, he plunged both his symbiote and his giant sword into the ground, standing firm without retreating an inch.

"Heh, I see your weakness now. Weaklings always cling to pointless compassion," Mister Sinister sneered in the dark, the red diamond on his forehead glowing brightly, casting a sinister light on his already menacing face.

Does Su Ming have compassion? Maybe, but saving the doctor was more about achieving strategic objectives.

"Monarch," Su Ming called out.

He knew the sorcerer had been preparing a spell, and now was the perfect time.

"You dare ignore me, Deadpool? I\'m going to put so many holes in your butt, it\'ll look like a beehive!"

Deadpool finally showed up, but his bad habit of talking before attacking spoiled the surprise. It was supposed to be a sneak attack, but now the enemy had been alerted.

No surprise there—if Deadpool could keep his mouth shut, he wouldn\'t be Deadpool. Unless, of course, someone sewed his jaw shut with adamantium wire.

Deadpool, meanwhile, jabbered on while thrusting his katana at Mister Sinister\'s butt. Sinister had been floating in the air, perfectly positioned for Deadpool\'s strike.

However, with just a wave of his hand, Sinister sent Deadpool flying once more, crashing into a pile of fallen bricks with a cacophony of clattering.

"Now," Su Ming signaled to Monarch. The sorcerer, having prepared his spell for some time, released it, and at the same moment, Su Ming yanked his giant sword from the ground and thrust it toward Mister Sinister.
