Chapter 338: Gains Through Getting Beat
Slap! Slap! Slap!
Even though his face was bruised to purple and golden blood stained the left side of his cheek, Azmodeus was as emotionless as he was before the system erased his emotion limiters.
He simply stared at the ugly, scornful look on the face of a nut case. \'Even though I already knew the true colors of this two-faced b*tch before I met her, I\'m still left amazed by her \'benevolence.\' In fact, she is being so benevolent that I ought to repay the favor one of these days,\' he thought.
While holding malicious thoughts within his subconscious, Azmodeus continued to take the beatings until the Princess finally tired of the monotony. As she stormed out of the cell in a terrible mood, she restored the cell bars to what they once were. After which, she and her guards returned to whence they came.
After leaving him to meander inside his own thoughts, Azmodeus wiped the blood smears off his face and opened up his system interface, thinking of his next course of action.
\'I asked the system during that beating, but it seems that my Primordial Essence Clones and Mirror Mirages have been reduced to dust. It said there would be a new \'Immortal Clone\' function, but I doubt that will come anytime soon,\' he thought. \'Therefore, there is only one real way to escape this cell and truly start exploring this loot-filled world…\'
While side-glancing at the golden blood drizzling down his lips, Azmodeus realized that he better get used to blood and pain if he wished to go through with what came next.
Unluckily, or luckily, in this case, he had long since grown used to pain…
As he lifted his right fist, he gathered all his power, and then, entirely out of the blue, he punched himself in the pit of his stomach!
Kuk!
Azmodeus caved in under the excruciating pain, coughing up a large blot of blood. As he fell against the far side wall of the cell, he clutched his chest, trying his best to get his breathing back under control.
"Everything, including pain, has been tremendously amplified in this world, but cough! Th-That is fine with me…"
A determined gleam passed through his piercing gaze, and then, without respite, he once again threw a full-power punch into his chest!
Kuk!
Blood once again splattered the dreary prison cell walls a deep golden shade. But without waiting for the damp roof water to wash away the blood, Azmodeus hit himself once more…
Kuk!
Spurt!
Again.
Kuk!
And again.
After more than ten rounds of hitting himself as hard as possible, the system notification he had been waiting for finally came.
BLING!
[Ding! The host has successfully refined his body enough to acquire a Low-White Tier Immortal Physique called \'Immortal\'s Resilience\']
[Ding! The host can upgrade this Immortal Physique by further Refining his body! Good luck…]
"J-Just what I was wanting…"
After feeling a spike in his overall power level, Azmodeus managed to stop himself from passing out just in the nick of time. As he regained most of his stamina, he returned to the deed, planning to do whatever it took to become stronger.
As for the reason he didn\'t attempt cultivation or anything else—well, he didn\'t have a proper Immortal Cultivation Technique.
There was the chance that he could escape this dimension with the Infinite Immortal World, but like previous examples, it would likely just send him right back to where he was transferred from. Thus, the only real choice he had was the bloody sight happening inside a cell of the Everveil Kingdom\'s secret dungeon.
After a few hours of beating himself silly, Azmodeus\'s reckless actions finally started to bear fruit.
[Ding! Your Immortal Physique \'Immortal\'s Resilience\' has reached the High-White Tier from the Mid-White Tier!]
[Ding! Your Battle Power has improved to the \'Grade 1 Half-Immortal Realm (Late)]
Though the improvements may not seem like much, Azmodeus could feel that his strength had at least doubled. And for the Immortal Realm, an increase of 100% was considered quite substantial. After all, with the Immortal Realm being a plane of existence that hyper-transcended everything below it, a 100% increase would be worth a value unable to be measured in the Mortal Realm.
"Shit… Still not enough…"
Azmodeus was intelligent enough to know that this was nowhere near sufficient to bend the cell\'s metal bars. Therefore, he returned to the art of \'Beating oneself to the verge of death.\'
He made use of all the time he had, knowing damn well that the noble b*tch would be returning…
…
Roughly 57 hours later.
CLANG!
After loudly slamming open the gate door leading to the castle\'s underground area, Yan Jie and her unit of metal tin cans approached the solitary cell containing a man. They reached the cell bars and took a good look at the interior.
Yan Jie saw absolutely nothing unusual. There were no golden blood stains, and Azmodeus\'s body had all but completely healed up, just as Yan Jie expected it to.
She couldn\'t exactly have her new pretty toy not pretty anymore; now could she…?
With a deeply rooted maliciousness hidden with those dazzling eyes of hers, she activated her powers and opened up the cell the same as she did a couple days ago.
"It seems you are as lively as ever, my dear."
As she looked at the vicious glint in the devilish man\'s primitive gaze, Yan Jie just knew that she would have even more fun with her little toy!
A few minutes quickly passed…
Slap! Slap!
While slapping around that pretty face of his, Yan Jie straddled the bloody-faced man, reveling in the feelings she felt when looking at his expression of \'resistance.\'
Seeing such a sight only seemed to excite her even more, resulting in her slaps coming down with even more fervor!
Like a helpless chick, Lucifer lay down on the cracked and moldy cobblestoned cell floor, calmly observing the crazed looks that flashed past his captor\'s face.
\'As her personality dictates, she really does hit like a little bitch. And that is not nearly enough to help progress my Immortal\'s Resilience Physique.\'
While blankly staring at the slaps viscously whacking his face, Azmodeus also took a few cursory glances at his system notifications.
BLING!
